– Control and grid connection of a gas turbine – We have taken over the control and grid connection of a new gas turbine for our customer ContiTech in Northeim.
As a central component of the energy supply for the Northeim plant, the gas turbine is an important node for achieving high availability of the plant while at the same time optimizing costs through active load management.
Thanks to the efforts of our experts, this goal was successfully achieved.

Task

In detail, this project involved realizing the power cabling and the concept for the control system of the new gas turbine including the associated boiler house.

In addition, KSV supplied the control cabinets required for the gas turbine control system and we also implemented the programming of the PLC control system.
A load management and load shedding system was connected to this control system and implemented on top for the plant as a whole, thanks to which ContiTech can now actively prevent load peaks in the 20kW network from being exceeded.
